Why the fit matters
Look, swapping out a lamp shouldn’t turn into a weekend project involving rewiring your whole control cabinet or breaking out the welding gear. We stick to the standards you already know, like R7s or Sk15, but we’re happy to handle custom ceramic mounts too. Here’s the thing: if the interface is even slightly off, you’ll end up with hotspots or patchy heat across your materials. We avoid that by mirroring your original OEM dimensions down to the last detail.
Getting it installed (without the headache)
We aim for a “non-destructive” swap. That just means your maintenance crew can slide the new lamp in without having to drill holes in the machine chassis. We obsess over the tolerances at the contact points. If a plug-in interface is off by just a millimeter, you’re looking at a potential arc-over risk. Not great. We mill our components for a tight, snug seat, which means less fuss and way less downtime when you’re changing things over.
The trade-offs you should know about
High-density IR lamps are great for getting PET or bio-plastics up to temperature fast. But there’s a catch. When you cram more wattage into a small space, your existing wiring and cooling fans have to work harder. Before you flip the switch, just double-check that your power supply and airflow can handle the extra heat. If you push the wattage too high without enough air moving across them, you’ll likely burn out the ends of the lamps. To make it easy, we’ll give you the exact voltage and current draw. That way, you can check your breakers before you even start wiring.
